HTA SURPRISE Was A HUGE Success!

The Hartbeespoort Tourism Association had their monthly lunch yesterday at Amanzingwe Lodge around 12 am. The usual cocktails were available as we got comfortable meeting all another; and thankfully it was cloudy and less hot.

We were all delightfully surprised with Mike at his intresting opening introduction. We should have excpected it as there where no round tables neatly arranged with seats around decorated tables.

Mike gave a short but powerful speech abouth the main reason for these lunches and it's purpose to use your networking skills to a new level. i.e. if you get an enquiry for 60 visitors but can only handle 30... then you call on the other guest house you feel comfortable with to jump on board and ensure all the 60 clients get an amazing stay with quality service!

Mike introduced the new approach they had in store for us members for the day; groups were divided into three seperate sections with the aim of taking turns on taking an offraod drive in a Unimog; the other group were taken round the various Rooms & Conference centres while their friendly staff explained all that was available as well as interesting history about the place, The third group where however already at the shooting range manned by the experts GroundZero Adventures, trying their hand at archery, paintball guns and boere 'ketties', plus the chance to ride a quad bike around the premises; or opt for river-ravting or paragliding flight.

We received food, cooldrinks and wine at all the 'shows' and when we all returned to the main centre; were introduced to a very interesting local brewing company called Growler with smooth tasting beer on tap which most of us will recommend - the Blonde brew was especially light

When all the groups eventually got back to reception, we were treated with excellend food and puddings that really hit the spot!

Then we got another delightfull demonstration with a falcon handler and his intelligent bird of prey.

Everybody was relax and comfortable and most the members stayed on way longer than the previously typical HTA lunches from before.

Mike's message is absolutely clear- these HTA lunches is there for HTA members to go the extra mile when it comes to networking! That's how we all get value from Harties and there IS more that enough 'pie' for everybody to go around.

Now, we are looking forward to the next surprise HTA lunch with absolute delight...
